A 17-floor, mixed commercial building will soon be added to Suva’s flourishing CBD in the form of Grand President, the latest project of property developers, DC Singh’s Investments Limited (DCSIL).
With frontage along Loftus St and Goodenough St, the property is slated to maximise access from Suva’s bustling business district and growing residential population, and stand apart for its environmentally-friendly design and build.
“The Suva City Council has approved the commencement of the project,” a project statement from DCSIL confirmed.
Construction is expected to begin in early August and be completed prior to early 2018.
“The Grand President encapsulates the benchmark for green building design, reflecting strategies to conserve energy, optional soft landscaping using water features and the use of local and environmentally friendly building materials.”
Designed by architectural specialist, Sharma Design Group, furnishings for the facility will include a superior back-up power generator equipped with disaster recovery features such as booster water pumps and tanks.
Features include ground level retail space, three levels of car parking space (and parking for disabled passengers), 12 levels of office space, an open rooftop conference area, lifts, common amenities, public wash rooms and a 24-hour security system.
“You can watch the setting sun behind the city skyline, before settling back for an evening under the stars.
“Carrying the elemental theme right through each floor, this rooftop landscape completes the architectural vision , taking inspiration from one of Fiji’s most untamed regions, each seating areas to create a natural vista, complimenting the contemporary seating and mood lighting.”
Under the directorship of Chanan Singh, DCSIL’s other developments include the President Towers in Nasese and the President Plaza in Samabula, with this latest project retaining the developer’s distinct branding.
Expressions of interest are now open for office spaces, with the upcoming property exclusively marketed and leased through agents, Suva Realty Management.
