A new project in Wailoaloa Beach Nadi is set to change the landscape and boost tourism in the area.

It’s an integrated tourism development – hotels, boutiques and retail spaces along the Wailoaloa Beach with plans for a gated community for residents.

Handling the million dollar project is Bayley Real Estate and as of this week fifty-eight of the one hundred and eleven lots has been reserved.

A seven hundred meter residential lot in this gated community will cost you $570,000 but Bayleys Real Estate Director Philip Toogood says the development is filling a niche market.

“The last 10 years we have seen tremendous change in the market. We are now seeing developers coming in – this particular development is a joint venture between the Punja family interests and an Australian investor so we are seeing off shore parties coming in to work with local investors and developers so it’s healthy and exciting for Fiji.”

The beach-front will still be open to the public but further in-land; developers will build new bars and restaurants – similar to Port Denarau.

Work on the gated community is progressing and titles will be issued in 12 months – at the end of the construction works.
