SHERATON Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island is undergoing a comprehensive $25 million renovation and has announced that it will finally reopen next month.
The property launched in mid-2014 and has been closed for the past nine months, following Tropical Cyclone Winston in February.
Renovations compromise of all guest rooms, suites and public area, with new guest facilities including a café-style dining venue, a Fijian cultural centre, a games room and mini golf course.
Home to 101 guest rooms and a wedding chapel, the resort was refurbished from the former Amanuka Island Resort, and is owned by the P Meghji Group’s Ritam Investments Limited, as Starwood’s fourth Fiji property.
Other Starwood properties include the Sheraton Fiji Resort, the Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa and the Sheraton Denarau Villas, the country’s first strata-title development.
Ritam Investments is also behind a new 144-room hotel at Lautoka’s Shirley Park.
