A year after launching in Lautoka, Bayshore Real Estate has added four aspiring realtors to its team, with an intensive week of coaching and training to help assimilate them into the flourishing world of local realty.
William Miller, Ashmita Chand, Jone Naiti and Nathaniel Khan all come from sales backgrounds and underwent a three-day training workshop that included presentations by lawyers on conveyancing, bankers from the Home Finance Company (HFC) Bank and other personnel to familiarize them with due processes and requirements on transacting properties for clients.
“It’s important to upskill our people and ensure a smooth transition into real estate and best practices,” noted Principal, Arif Khan.
The group have spent a few weeks getting practical experience through site inspections and personal interactions with the guidance of Bayshore’s current realtors.
They have also taken the company’s Realtors Pledge and Code of Ethics, which Khan said was key to showing their commitment.
“Realtors are privy to a client’s personal needs and information and work in a fiduciary capacity, and it’s essential for all agents to understand the importance of ensuring that the best interests of their clients are upheld,” he added.
The four have all applied for practise licenses and awaiting confirmation from the Real Estate Agents Licensing Board.
