Construction will soon be underway on Namaka Central, a six-level property development by Prasad & Prasad Holdings.
Managing Director, Suresh Prasad confirmed that building works would get underway at the end of this month for the Class A commercial building located on the corner of the Queens Rd and Vunisalato St.
“Namaka is a growing area and doing better than Nadi’s CBD, for its central proximity to convenient amenities and flood-free surroundings,” he said.
Encompassing some 1,790 sqm on the ground level and first floor, the building will have commercial and retail spaces and floors of apartments on the third, fourth and fifth levels. Features include basement level parking for 50 cars and a loading bay, a backup generator and water supply, amongst other provisions.
“Each floor will have about ten apartments of two to three bedrooms for the rental market, which is in high demand due to Nadi’s housing shortage. We also have tenant specifications and can also accommodate particular requests and put in place necessary office partitions for them,” Mr Prasad added.
The first stage of development is expected to be completed within a year, with tenancy interest and enquiries already being received.
“We also anticipate that the new double-lane roads will improve access and business. This is a development we feel is necessary for this part of Nadi.”
