This boutique resort property can be found on a scenic drive to the settlement of Sekawa, approximately 25 mins from Sauvsavu Township. There’s a lookout point along the way to show you the beauty of Savusavu Bay and the township from whence you’ve come, and as you turn off the main road and head towards the beach, you can feel the serenity of the location.
This purpose built property consists of 2 indulgently decorated and fully furnished, self-contained open plan bures nestled in a “secret garden” like environment. Not water front, although the beach is a casual 4 minute stroll away. The gardens, which have obviously been a labour of love, seem to cocoon you and give you the privacy you want yet the space to explore. Swaying coconut Palms, endemic plants and flowers and lily ponds for that truly tropical immersion!
Inside the Bures the attention to detail in the décor, fixtures and fittings is stunning. Design talent is evident and top-quality imported appliances and furnishings have been used. Although the layout is the same, each bure is independently themed. Each bure is meticulously maintained, has every comfort from home, and then some! A beautiful combination of modern Fijian, meets “beachy vibe”.
The bird life is outstanding, a perfect place for the keen birdwatchers in the family! An Orange Dove has claimed his territory right outside the private deck area of one of the buses and is a delight to watch throughout the day. Pacific kingfishers up high, Wattlebirds darting about amongst the hibiscus, Parrots flying between the palms and a daily flyover by the endemic Kula Parrot will make your day. The Barking Pigeon is also endemic to this area and is a protected species.
The 4.8m x 2.4m salt water pool has been designed for maximum water purity, is tastefully tiled and is temperature friendly, even in mid-winter. Landscaped between the two bures, the pool area can be a social hub if you so desire, but the pool and decking are both also large enough for solo sun baking or dipping if that’s what you want.
Plenty of things to do, places to go, sites to see and experiences to be had, within easy walking distance, including snorkelling and swimming from the private sandy beach. Take a walk up to the Nasekawa River, kayak on the bay, wander over 2 acres of beautiful tropical gardens or just laze by the pool.
