Following public notices calling for expressions of interest, the Carpenters Group officially announced its plans for a major real estate development that is expected to change the look of Suva’s CBD foreshore.
Ten acres of waterfront real estate will include several hotels, town houses, apartment blocks and about 100 retail shops, encompassing fine dining, super markets, spas, gyms and other recreational facilities.
The development includes a Times Square-style setting with a waterfront parade.
This first phase is billed at around $120 million, confirmed Sir Morgan Lourdenadin, group CEO of the WR Carpenter (PNG) Group of Companies.
Carpenters also plans to construct a new12-storey MH Tower, for premium office space, at the car park of its landmark mall, MHCC, in the CBD.
Both projects will be constructed by Australian specialist developers and project managers, Sinclair Brook.
