The approved City of Suva town planning scheme has been partly suspended by the Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport, Parveen Bala.
This follows a proposal by the Suva City Council to rezone land specified in the Schedule from Residential B to Commercial A, and therefore suspending the Approved City of Suva Town Planning Scheme as far as it relates to the specified land.
A statement from Mr Bala’s office said he was satisfied with the proposal.
The alteration applies to the zoning of Lot 1, Section 6CL 1143 at Belo St, Samabula, which has been provisionally approved by the Director of Town and Country Planning.
Particulars of the scheme have been placed at the offices of the Suva City Council and Director of Town and Country Planning for public inspection, with any written objections to be addressed to the Suva City Council CEO.
Amendments have also been made to the Approved Ba Town Planning Scheme, which is altering the zoning of Residential A land to Commercial C at Clopcott St.
